2019-2026 Chevy GMC 1500 2.7L 3.0L Duramax 5 Row Extruded Tube Aluminum Radiator
The 3.0L Duramax made the half-ton diesel practical, but it also handed the cooling system a workload the factory radiator was never sized generously for. A modern emissions-era diesel runs hot by design, and when you add a trailer, a bed full of weight, or a long summer grade, coolant temperature is the first thing that lets you know the stock core is working at its limit. This radiator replaces it with a heavier aluminum core built to hold temperature steady under sustained load, in 2019-2026 Chevy and GMC 1500 trucks running the 2.7L or 3.0L Duramax.
The core measures 35.03 inches wide by 20.15 inches high and carries five rows of 1.77-inch extruded aluminum tubes. Each tube is extruded as a single piece of aluminum rather than rolled from flat stock and welded shut. A conventional welded tube carries a seam down its entire length, and that seam is where tubes split as pressure cycles and towing loads work on the core over time. An extruded tube has no seam because it was never two edges joined together in the first place, so there is no weak line running through the radiator waiting to fail. Wall thickness is uniform all the way around, which also means heat moves out of the coolant consistently across the full width of the tube.
The tanks are aluminum, TIG-welded directly to the core. The factory radiator uses plastic tanks crimped onto the core with a gasket, and that crimp joint is a known failure point on these trucks once heat cycles harden the gasket and the plastic goes brittle — a TIG-welded aluminum tank takes both of those failures off the table. Fin height is 5mm, a tight fin pitch that puts more cooling surface in front of the fan and takes full advantage of the airflow these trucks move through the grille. Coolant enters through a 1.34-inch inlet on the upper driver side and exits through a 1.57-inch outlet on the lower passenger side, matching the factory hose routing. Overall dimensions are 42.91 inches wide, 22.95 inches high, and 4.6 inches thick, and the radiator installs in the stock location. The finish is natural aluminum.
This radiator reuses your factory fan assembly and radiator cap; neither is included, and there is no transmission cooler built into this unit.
Fits 2019-2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 with the 2.7L or 3.0L Duramax engine.
