OVERVIEW

The third-gen F-body was one of GM’s most capable performance platforms of its era — but the factory cooling system wasn’t built with a rebuilt 350, a TPI swap, or a high-compression cam in mind. Aged copper/brass OEM units corrode at the tank seams, lose capacity as scale builds up internally, and don’t have the thermal headroom that a modified engine demands.

The Fluidyne 3 Row Aluminum Radiator for the 1982–1992 Camaro and Firebird is a direct-fit replacement that drops into the factory radiator support without modification. Full aluminum construction. TIG-Welded Tank-to-Core Interface

The tank-to-core joint is TIG welded, not crimped. On a high-compression or modified engine running elevated coolant temperatures and pressure, a welded joint is significantly more reliable than mechanical retention over the life of the radiator.
