1966-1977 Ford Bronco 4 Row 2.75″ Core High Performance Aluminum Radiator
The early Bronco was never given much of a cooling system to begin with, and fifty-plus years later most of them are running more engine than Ford ever planned for. Whether yours still carries its original V8 or has been swapped into something stronger, the factory-style copper-brass core is the weak point on a truck that spends its time crawling trails at low speed with almost no airflow through the grille. This radiator replaces it with a full aluminum crossflow core built to move heat at idle, at crawl speed, and at highway speed alike.
The core measures 18.45 inches long by 19.21 inches high with a full 2.76 inches of depth, packing four rows of 0.57-inch tubes behind the Bronco’s narrow grille opening. Fin height is 8mm, which keeps air moving through the deep core instead of stacking up in front of it — important on a truck that relies on fan pull more than ram air. Coolant enters through a 1.75-inch inlet on the upper driver side and exits through a 2-inch outlet on the lower passenger side, matching the factory hose routing on 1966 through 1977 Broncos.
Each of those tubes is extruded as a single piece of aluminum rather than rolled from flat stock and welded shut. A conventional welded tube carries a seam down its entire length, and that seam is where tubes split when pressure cycles and vibration take their toll — something an early Bronco delivers plenty of on the trail. An extruded tube has no seam because it was never two edges joined together in the first place, so there is no weak line running through the core waiting to fail. It is a stronger tube that also transfers heat more consistently, since the wall thickness is uniform all the way around.>
Overall dimensions are 25.59 inches long, 20.51 inches high, and 4.35 inches deep, and the unit drops into the stock core support location. The tanks are finished in mirror-polished aluminum, so it looks the part with the hood open, and a billet radiator cap is included. An electric fan is not included — the radiator works with your existing mechanical fan and shroud setup or an aftermarket electric fan of your choosing.
This unit comes with a High Performance Transmission Cooler Integrated into the Passenger side tank.
