FLUIDYNE® was formed as a Division of Dunham-Bush, an HVAC manufacturer that can trace its roots via the D. A. Dunham Manufacturing Company of Marshalltown Iowa, all the way back to 1903… the same year Harley-Davidson Motorcycles and Briggs and Stratton Engines were formed.
In 1960, the first known sale of an ‘Auxiliary Oil Cooler’ was a 4-tube copper unit sold to a Mr. Perry Hayden for his RV transmission. That first aftermarket oil cooler and all the oil coolers that Hayden Automotive sold for their first 15 years in business were produced by Dunham-Bush, the parent company of FLUIDYNE® High Performance.
A few of FLUIDYNE® Firsts include:
- First ‘Aux’ Cooler
- First Patented Inner-Fin Turbulator Design
- First Copyrighted Split-Fin Design
- First Shelby Engine Oil Cooler produced
- First Shelby Transmission Oil Cooler produced
